Abstract:In recent years, Challenge Based Learning (CBL) has become increasingly significant in the education field. The thesis investigates the improvement of the Challenge Up tool, a tool developed at the University of Twente to help teachers implement CBL in their courses. The project aimed to improve the tool's usability and User Experience by following the Creative technology Design process which involved identifying user requirements, developing a prototype using the Bubble platform, and conducting user testing to gather feedback. The findings showed that the developed prototype meets most user requirements, but some steps are still needed to facilitate teachers in implementing CBL using this tool. The results demonstrated the need for a clear introduction, intuitive navigation, effective error-prevention mechanisms, and a balance between text and visual elements.
