Abstract: | Company X experiences the loss of several customers because it is not in possession of an ISO 9001:2015 certificate. ISO 9001 is a international standard for quality and is based on a Quality Management system within an organization. To acquire this certificate, the business processes of Company X first need to visualized by means of BPMN models. Then, these models have to be aligned with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard and be redesigned accordingly. This research elaborates on theories to (re)design business process models and on the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. The main research question that is answered in this thesis is: "How should the business processes be adjusted to acquire an ISO 9001 certificate, increasing Company X’s profit margins?" The results of this research include two general business process models to be implemented within any organization up to 50 employees wishing to become ISO 9001 certified. |
