Abstract: | Digital transformation (DT) is a critical process for modern organizations, yet its complexity often hampers successful implementation. This thesis explores the dynamics of organizational digital transformation using System Dynamics (SD) modeling. The primary objective is to design a general SD model that captures the key elements and interactions within the DT process. By integrating factors such as strategy, finance, leadership, organizational structure, processes, culture, people, and technology, the model provides a holistic view of how these components influence one another. The research involves both theoretical and ecological validation to ensure the model's relevance and applicability across different organizational contexts. Key insights reveal the importance of strategic alignment, financial planning, leadership, and cultural adaptation in driving successful digital transformation. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the systemic nature of DT and offer practical guidance for organizations navigating this complex process. |
