Abstract: | The surge in the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has been substantial and caused a rise in malware attacks targeting them. This research delves into the emerging threat landscape of the IoT technology, specifically seeking to enhance the understanding of malware behaviors and attack vectors aimed at devices with embedded operating systems. Furthermore, we outline a comprehensive methodology for collecting, analyzing and visualizing IoT malware data, while also capturing new malware samples through a novel approach. In the end, we contribute to the development of an up-to-date IoT Malware Knowledge Base. |
