Abstract: | In 2022, traffic fatalities in the Netherlands saw a significant increase compared to previous years. This thesis provides a policy analysis of Dutch traffic laws and regulations, road design, and road user behavior. It compares these elements with relevant studies and integrates insights from Vision Zero and System Theory to recommend enhancing traffic safety to achieve the ambitious target of zero traffic deaths by 2050. |
