Abstract: | This master thesis has made contributions to two parts of the radiotherapy workflow, contouring of organs-at risk, and individualized patient follow-up. In this thesis, a DL model was developed to automatically segment the PVS. This model outperformed an off-the-shelf model on an internal and external test set and was clinically accepted by technicians. The implementation of this model for research or clinical practice is the logical next step. In addition, the thesis generated insight in the follow-up phase of neuro-oncological patients, by evaluating the clinical occurrence of RICE at Maastro and investigating a potential lesion prediction model in our institute. Although the model seemed not applicable to our cohort the project fostered relevant discussions for further and provided valuable clinical insights. |
