Abstract: | This case study is about a SME with combined warehouse usage and inventory discrepancies. After conducting the research by combining multiple data sources, it has led to the believe that the reliability of the research is strong. Business Process Modeling was chosen as tool to understand where inefficiencies might occur, which then was expanded on with the combined data. The usage of lean, and in particular 5S, has been discussed as key solution. This 5S methodology is in this case in need of additional methodologies such as separating entities and communication. The thesis can form the basis for the implementation of these discussed solutions. For other research, this case study can form the basis for assessing underlying inventory discrepancy problems. |
