Abstract: | This project introduces a new approach for an in-pipe repair robot designed to perform maintenance within pipes. The robot, FlexiFix, combines the benefits of a repair utillity head and a hybrid locomotion system that allows it to navigate and repair pipe interiors efficiently. It features a soft spring drive for steering the tool head in various directions and offers two movement modes: a high-speed mode and a highly adaptable, stable mode. The design demonstrates effectiveness in its novel repair sollution. |
