Abstract:The relationship between valued living, the ablity to adapt, and anxiety was investigated. It was hypthesised that increases in valued living would lead to increased ability to adapt and decreased anxiety. For this a randomized controlled trial was used, with a three-group pre- post-intervention design. Participants engaged with the online valued living intervention via the TIIM app. GAD-7, GSAAS, and ELS-16 were used to measure the anxiety, the ability to adapt, and valued living, respectively. Valued living showed a significant positive effect after the intervention, while the abiltiy to adapt and anxiety had non-significant outcomes. This was likely due to the small sample size of 12 students. Implementing additional factors in the model(s) is recommended for future research.
