Abstract: | In this thesis, the spin-galvanic effect in a 2D diffusive metal with spin-charge coupling in the steady state is calculated. The calculations are done by using central differencing and the ghost cell method on the Usadel equation on a numerical grid. We find that the voltage across the system is linearly dependent on the time derivative of the applied magnetic field and the strength of the spin-galvanic effect. |
