Abstract: | This study examines the role of non-financial factors in the valuation and acquisition price of Dutch SMEs. While financial factors traditionally receive the most attention, this research highlights the significant influence of non-financial factors. The findings indicate that valuators assign higher importance to non-financial factors than M&A specialists and that experience leads to a greater appreciation of these factors. The study provides both theoretical and practical insights for professionals and entrepreneurs. Future research is recommended to adopt a more specific focus and further explore the impact of non-financial factors in business valuations and acquisitions. |
