Abstract: | It is difficult to determine resource requirements of an application (stack) before deploying it to the cloud, which is why many cloud service users overestimate cloud requirements and lower them later according to monitoring data. This behavior results in higher startup costs. Automatic benchmarking with quality of service requirements could be a solution. By deploying the application to a Kubernetes cluster and benchmarking it there, a realistic cloud configuration could be achieved. This thesis focuses on the development and evaluation of an automated system that does these things. |
