Abstract: | The semi public organization CWI is in constant pursue of innovation. This research was focused on the innovation efforts to provide CWI with conclusions and recommendations. On the basis of a literature study a theoretical framework was defined; this framework was the basis for the analysis of the actual situation at CWI. The theoretical framework is founded on four key aspects: strategy, process, organization and culture. CWI distinguishes between innovation for CWI as a whole and innovation at local level. The first is executed by specialized departments at the head office; these departments develop both radical and incremental innovation. Local and regional offices develop local innovation; within the boundaries set, it is the managers' responsibility to optimize the local situation. Priority is given to both radical and local innovation. |
