Abstract:The study concerns the automated extraction of intertidal beach bathymetries from Argus video images and the use of these bathymetries in studies on beach behaviour on the short time scale. The research was carried out at WL|Delft Hydraulics, nowadays part of Deltares, as a part of the Beach Wizard project under the framework of the VOP (Voortschrijdend Onderzoeks Programma) reseach program for the Dutch Ministry of Public Works (Rijkswaterstaat).
