Abstract: | More and more applications are developed that use contextual information. Such context-aware applications use strongly differing notions of context. This thesis focuses on what exactly is being referred to when designers of such applications speak of context. It also demonstrates how this knowledge can be applied to the task of finding possibilities for creating novel applications.
