Abstract: | This research paper is written in the context of innovation adoption and aims at exploring the impact of difference factors between public and private organizations on perceived innovation characteristics (IC) and the innovation adoption process. The main question, this research paper seeks to answer, is: What are relevant adopter characteristic differences between the public and private domain within the roadmaking sector in the Netherlands, in how far are they influencing the way innovation characteristics are perceived and what impact do they have on the adoption decision process? Hence, this paper stresses three main parts: characteristic differences’ relevance; the impact on perceived innovations characteristics; impact on adoption decision process. |
