Abstract: | The goal of this paper is to present an approach to performance engineering in the area of software development. The approach should be particularly suitable for the application in early stages of the development life-cycle. The outcome of the approach should be a model which can be used for performance predictions on a future software system. The accuracy of the model and the therefore the prediction shall be ensured by basing in on an existing base system's model. |
