Abstract: | Until today, the maximum return of the “plus concept” at Visschedijk has not yet been achieved. More organizational benefit can be gained by getting more out of employees: higher job satisfaction, more development opportunities and a higher productivity. Therefore a project has been started at Visschedijk. The aim of this project is to increase the productivity of employees, who have a disability, also called a distance to the labor market, so that they perform better than the indicated WSW standard. The project takes place in a changing context: The government proposes to merge several different regulations in “de Wet Werken Naar Vermogen” (WWNV) where people with a distance to the labor market are encouraged to find a job in a regular workplace. This research explains the components of this project: the different concepts about employee productivity, the ways to increase this, and the context in which the project takes place: the different laws and regulations, the ability to work from an employee, and the distance to the labor market of the employees at Visschedijk. This research is focused on different social innovations which can have an effect on the employees’ job satisfaction, ability to work and motivation. Therefore the following research question have been tried to answer: How can the workforce productivity from people with a distance to the labor market in a facility organization as Visschedijk be measured and how is it influenced by applying social innovations? |
