| Abstract: | The report consists of two parts. The first part describes a general design of a WIG vehicle or any other airplane. It provides the main dimensions of the craft, such as the wing span, wing area, cruise speed, stall speed, specific properties of the wing and so on. The stability criteria are considered consequently, which provide the properties of the tail. The second part of the report describes the design of a wingsail consisting of two different profiles mounted one after another. A 2D and a 3D analysis is performed on the sail with a big number of simplifications. A velocity prediction program is used to predict the performance of the sail. |
