Abstract:Trust is an important factor in the political world. Menting (2011) and Westdorp(2012) concluded, that in campaigns of charities and in commercials the amount of trust is influenced by arousal. During this research, the influence of arousal in trust on political campaigns is investigated. This research was done, by providing three different conditions, which varied in the amount of arousal. The results showed that there are no significant differences in these three conditions. Due to these results, it can be concluded that there is no significant influence of arousal in trust on political campaigns. The results are further investigated, by use of the average score on trust in the same three conditions.
