Abstract: | ‘LNG projects’ is a wide subject; bringing natural gas from well to consumer with in between: purification, liquefaction, storage, shipment, regasification and distribution. Therefore this guideline for internal use is restricted to the base load liquefaction of purified natural gas. Several liquefaction processes are presented. Design guidelines for common equipment, as huge centrifugal compressors and their drivers and cryogenic heat exchangers, are reviewed and some comments and additions to them are made. At the end the conclusion is that there is a big future for LNG. LNG; natural gas; centrifugal compressor; cryogenic; heat exchanger; |
