Abstract: | In this report a method for predicting the acoustic scattering of circumferential modes in an annular duct subject to non-uniform ow is described. The developed method is based on the Eigen value problem following from the Pridmore-Brown's equation in variational formulation. The problem is solved by the application of FEM to the radial direction so that the information regarding the circumferential modes is preserved. The resulting solver is very robust and can be further improved. |
