Abstract:The focus of this study is on mass transfer of segmented flow within a microfluidic device, in particular with on-chip separation of phases by capillary forces. The tested initial concentrations c0 were not of influence. The overall mass transfer coefficient increased with increasing flow rate. It is recommended to focus further efforts on separating the phases. Also recommended subsequent experiments are outlined.
