Abstract:
This research tries to find if an already existing model of learning conceptions is also applicable to a different, and older, group of respondents. It uses an already developed model of learning conceptions in which six levels are presented, each one increasing in depth and complexity. There were 13 respondent interviewed about their understanding of the term learning. Their reactions were analyzed and on the basis of this, the respondents were placed in one of the six existing learning conceptions. The model proved useful for this older group of people, and the percentages were fairly consistent with previously found results. However, the existing model was insufficient to the more social and emotional aspects of learning.
