Abstract: | This content analysis shows the concepts of privacy, security and cybersurveillance within four newspapers within the Netherlands and within the United States. The context of the analysis is the debate surrounding the revelations of Edward Snowden on the practices of the National Security Agency. It shows that, although the countries vary on specific issues within the concepts, the overall notion of spying and being watched is present most. |
