Abstract: | Many social organizations face developments like the retrenchment of the government and the rise of a society of participation. There is a growing need for organizations to become (more) self-sufficient in order to deal with these developments. In this report is discussed how to become more self-sufficient as a community center. Therefore the concept of business modeling is discussed. Different definitions, component and types of business models will be discussed. With the use of brainstorm sessions, at the end a new business model will be proposed, based on the Value Framework of Elke den Ouden (2012). This new business model will help organizations to deal with the aforementioned developments and to become (more) self-sufficient. |
