Abstract: | DevOps is a conceptual framework for software processes which improves development and operations by emphasizing close collaboration, automation of the software process, measurement of efficiency and effectiveness, and sharing of information. The goals of DevOps are to improve system quality and to increase software process velocity. For an organization to practise DevOps, they can make structural changes such as introducing a DevOps Department, having development and operations personnel work together in DevOps Teams, creating the shared role of DevOps Engineer for personnel specialized in both development and operations, and creating a group which supports the transformation. |
