Abstract:This research aimed to improve the service level and flow within a production environment. The problem was a lack of a structured and standardised scheduling approach. To improve the current situation, we developed a scheduling model that provides the production planner with a schedule for two weeks in advance. Furthermore we simulated the implementation of one piece flow manufacturing and the decoupling of several processes in order to move the CODP and shorten the product lead times.
