Abstract: | The current study investigated the influence of a modular organizational design on communication in an agile environment. It is proposed that communication boundaries are increased by creating modules of a software development team. The results revealed that, indeed, a modular organizational design created communication boundaries between these modules which decreased effective communication and collaboration. |
