Abstract:This bachelor assignment was executed for the company X, which develops games and (interactive) toys. They are often seeking for innovative products to market. X thinks that children can benefit from a product which stimulates them to be more active. Firstly, the market for activity stimulating products for children has been explored. Furthermore, research was done to find out which are the demands of the target group regarding the product. Observations and interviews were carried out, to make this possible. By interviewing experts and asking their opinion about some early ideas, it was eventually decided how a product could stimulate activity best. The first ideas were put on paper in an early stage of the assignment, to get feedback. With all the results of the different investigations, a list of requirements could be made. This list has been used to further elaborate some ideas. The ideas were discussed with X. Positive elements from the ideas were then used to come up with four product ideas. The idea ‘Muziekmaker’ was chosen as the best idea.
