Cross-border police cooperation in the European Union at the example of Germany and the Netherlands in the EUREGIO area

This thesis deals with the German-Dutch cross-border police cooperation in the EUREGIO area along the border. It analyzes the cooperation in selective operative fields and points out under which (legal/technical/operative) conditions the police forces from both countries cooperate. The Theory of (Liberal) Intergovernmentalism and the Theory of the Europeanization of the police are used as the theoretical background for explaining the police cooperation.
