| Abstract: | The main objective of this study is to develop a simulation model which can be used to provide managers in Philips MR Operations with support for decision making, as regards their global supply chain. This research first focuses on analyzing the current supply chain of MR backend system to verify the applicability of discrete event simulation in this context. It is also expected to help identify the opportunities of performance improvement in the current situation e.g. cost, inventory and lead time reduction |
