The cost-effectiveness of laboratory monitoring strategies in Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis patients treated with Methotrexate.

Sieders, E.A. (2015)

Background: Psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis patients treated with methotrexate are at risk of developing liver cirrhosis. Monitoring by laboratory tests may possibly decrease the risk. The guidelines of methotrexate monitoring differ between dermatologists and rheumatologists in type of laboratory tests and frequency of monitoring. Objective: To assess the cost-effectiveness of laboratory monitoring strategies in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis patients of different age groups treated with methotrexate.
