Abstract: | The paper is structured as follows: First, the theoretical framework is outlined. It starts with a theoretical depiction of Sharing Economy thereby defining central characteristics. Subsequently, the analytical tool of the policy cycle is explained as well as the mechanisms and ideas of partisan theory. Second, the research design and method are introduced discussing the choice of cases, units of analysis and categories. It is further outlined how the empirical analysis is conducted. Third, the results of the content analysis are described and the status quo of the share of votes among the governmental parties is presented. Then, the results of Germany and the United Kingdom and the respective partisan situation are compared, discussed and put in relation to the theoretical framework. Last, the paper is completed with a concluding remark. |
