| Abstract: | This research investigates the required rate of return on equity for infrastructure investments. The focus is on privately financed projects in Western Europe. The results of the research are that the most widely used model to estimate return on equity – the CAPM model – can not be applied easily for infrastructure projects. We propose an alternative way to estimate the return on equity. |
