Abstract: | A lot of organizations are dealing with highly volatile markets, globalisation forces, fast changing customer demands and fierce competition which in their turn causes a ‘profit squeeze’. Organizations need to redefine their market strategies. This is a very complex and time consuming process. One way of redefining an organizations strategy is through a strategic innovation process. The goal of this review is to provide the academic field with recommendations about future research and to provide practitioners with clear overarching drivers and barriers of strategic innovation and related concepts (strategic renewal, strategic change, strategic entrepreneurship, business model innovation, value innovation). |
