Abstract: | The Liuxihe River basin in Guangdong Province, South China, is frequently affected by floods. In order to reduce future losses due to floods, effective flood management is an absolute necessity. The HBV-model, developed at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Bureau, has been succesfully applied in many countries all over the world for different purposes. Therefore, the objective of this study is: The simulation of discharges for the Liuxihe River in South China to contribute to the development of effective operational and strategic flood management by setting up and testing a HBV-model for the Liuxihe River basin. |
