Abstract: | On the analysis of hydraulic calculation, the node pressure, pipe diameter, water velocity and hydraulic gradient could be adjusted for reducing the risk of leak or break in the pipe network, and cutting the cost. Because the network is a looped network, to ensure the quality of the network and the water itself, calculations are done by hydraulic applications. These applications are using a data model which are specific for each application. However each model must include some basic data so here for a general data model can be created. These days businesses are more and more using a Geographic Information System (GIS). With some kind of programme the network can easily be analyzed although it takes a lot of effort to create the correct data. In this rapport you can find a way to use a GIS for the drinking water supply company of Da Nang, Vietnam. |
