Abstract: | Increasing energy consumption creates a necessity for new and improved ways to generate power. Especially renewable energy sources are interesting, be it for example geothermal or solar energy. For both instances a radial in flow turbine can be used to extract energy. Different systems require different turbines and thus there is a need for exible design and research tools. An automated process to create and test designs of turbines is the desired state. During this internship a script was written to assist in the automated mesh generation part of such a process. In this report the idea behind mesh generation and the structure of the script is explained. |
