Abstract: | A modal analysis has been performed on the floor of an office building, and a method to find resonance frequencies from measured time-domain signals and visualize the corresponding mode shapes was developed. The measurements were done using an impact hammer and an acceleration sensor. The found mode shapes were compared to results obtained from a finite element analysis. |
