Abstract: | This report studies the effects of regulation, in the form of the FTK (Financieel Toetsingskader) and the nFTK (Nieuw Financieel Toetsingskader), on the performance of Dutch pension funds over the past ten years. Two possible effects of regulation are identified and these effects are used as inputs for a model that tests the performance of funds. The main conclusion of this report is that both assumed effects of regulation have had a significant impact on the performance of pension funds. |
