Abstract: | The healthcare sector is one of the largest employers in the Netherlands. Currently, it is not clear what the state of affairs in the field of HRM innovations in Dutch general hospitals (DGH) is. This leads to the research question: What is the current state of affairs in the field of HRM innovations in Dutch general hospitals? We started the research design with an analyses of the HRM part of the websites of all DGHs for a first impression and conducted 10 open interviews. We conclude that DGHs have a broad spectrum of HRM innovations that are distinctive from other sectors in the Netherlands as well as from hospitals in other countries and that the diffusion of HRM innovations between DGHs is limited. Therefore, we recommend that DGHs share HRM innovations with each other. |
