Abstract: | Informal Family Care is a pivotal point of the German social security system, and the reliance and it's importance increases with the Pflegestärkungsgesetz I. With great gender-specific differences in the area, Gender Mainstreaming should have played a major role in the policy considerations. By examining the policy and the parliamentary debates it could be shown that, this was not the case. |
