Abstract:For students with problematic procrastination, the consequences are large. The student does not only achieve a worse learning outcome, but also requires a longer study period. It also has major consequences on the financial, affective and cognitive domains. Although there is no straightforward explanation for problematic procrastination, most interventions have a cognitive behavioral approach. A downside of face-to-face interventions is the impossibility to support the student at the actual moment of procrastination, which is made possible with new technologies. mHealth as a tool against procrastination is not studied before. In this study it is determined which mobile applications are focused on academic procrastination, as well as the quality of these applications.
