Abstract: | As a digital language learning product provider, babbel.com is facing the problem of low return rate and lack of engagement in the product, especially in the practice activity. Keeping regular practice is an essential part of language learning, and helping the user forming a practice habit is one of the company goals. The goal of this project is exploring possible design solutions to engage the users doing practice activity by adding social interactions and using gamification elements. During the design process, several participatory design methods have been used to form and iterate on the solution. The final solution is providing a practice activity that the users can build conversations with other learners in real life context. |
