| Abstract: | All over the world trauma is the leading cause of death in persons under 45 years. Functional limitations are consequences that occur regularly. For the patient that is treated within 48 hours after their accident the National Trauma registration is founded. In this registration, different clinical data of the patient and their treatment is stored. The Netwerk Acute Zorg regio Zwolle is employed with collecting these data from the different hospitals in the region. At the moment, the main outcome that is measured is the morality of the patient. However, this doesn’t show how the situation of the patient is after they leave the hospital. Both the Landelijk Netwerk Acute Zorg and the Landelijke Beraadsgroep Traumachirurgie deem quality of life a very important outcome in trauma care. This shows the condition the patient is in at the moment this is registered. The purpose of this research is to research how quality of life can be added to the National Trauma registration in the most efficient way and which way of approach results in the highest level of response. Next to the research into how quality of life can be added to the National Trauma registration in the most efficient way and research how quality of life compares before and one year after the accident it is also important to make clear how the data collection is operationalized and how much time it has cost. According to these results recommendations are made. The research question is as follows: In what way can quality of life of trauma patients one year after the accident best be added to the National Trauma registration in the most efficient way and with the highest percentage of response and how does the quality of life in trauma patients develop one year after the accident in comparison to before the accident? |
