Abstract:Occasion: ATAG Duiven produces hobs at a small assembly line. The output from the production line is too low, resulting in a backlog of 1200 finished products in December 2016. The production target is 250 hobs a week, but this target is often not reached. Analysis: We performed research and found 17 core problems caused by six departments. In this research we look into three core problems: a picking method that is not real time, supplying method form warehouse to production department and the unknown capacity of the production line. Results: A scanner is introduced to do the warehouse picking real time. Furthermore, we introduce different supplying methods which ATAG Duiven could choose from. The last problem is the unknown production capacity. The measurements are still running no results are included in this report.
