Abstract: | Because chronic pain, stress and tiredness involve many chronic restrictions, it is important for patients to learn their deficiencies. Currently, there are several treatment methods on the market that help patients with chronic complaints to accept their deficiencies. Because these treatments are often of long duration, the Foundation ‘Pijn en Hoop’ has developed an e-health intervention that can be used at home: the application 'Aandacht is de sleutel'. The application contains five components that have been shown to be effective for patients with chronic pain, stress and tiredness. Namely: mindfulness, yoga, positive psychology, hypnotherapy and mental fitness. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the user-friendliness of this application, because it is important for connection to the target group and providing improvement points. In this study, the experiences of patients with chronic pain, stress and tiredness have been used to chart this. The application 'Aandacht is de sleutel' has been evaluated using a questionnaire derived from the 'Usefulness of web-based service' model. The outcomes are then analyzed by the aspects of user-friendliness (easy to learn, efficiency, easy to remember, few errors, satisfaction). The results of this research have provided a number of enriching additions and enhancements for the application 'Aandacht is de sleutel'. These improvement points are described in this research. Finally, this research has shown that the application, without these improvements, is not experienced as user-friendly. |
