Abstract:The future imaginings show that there are differences between generations in the way they see the future. The future imaginings differ for all the participants in what they picture as a flourishing future. The imaginings are very dependable from the activities and feelings the participants experience in the present, and it is also dependable on age. The wellbeing of the participants in the present coloured the imaginings and wishes for the future. As recommendation for future research taken from the findings of this study the connection between wellbeing in the present and being able to imagining a flourishing future could be examined more thoroughly.
