Abstract:Firms are continuously striving to make better value propositions than its competitors, in order to outperform them. Little is known about how High-Tech startups develop a strong value proposition. Therefore the purpose of the study is to find out how High Tech startups develop their value propositions. Including which stakeholders are integrated in the development process, and what their role is. Interviews were conducted with several startups to get a clearer picture of this process. The results reveal that every startup conducts market research, integrates the customer in the value proposition development as soon as possible, creates a beta version of the product and uses the feedback to adjust the value proposition. It can be concluded that High-Tech startups develop their value proposition in similar ways, and especially customers play a significant role in this process.
